It is a matter of great happiness and pride that Safety Messenger, India’s only magazine covering the whole gamut of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), has completed one year of its publication, earning the accolades of the who’s who in the safety industry and reaching out to thousands of readers with the message of safety.
It was exactly one year ago that the maiden issue of the magazine hit the stands with a rich content mix comprising construction, environment and health safety, among other things. Being the inaugural issue, the reach of the magazine was confined to a closed circle of experts, a few players in the safety industry and a section of the general readers who are seriously concerned about HSE issues. The response from them were more than encouraging, and, issue after issue, we have taken earnest efforts to improve the content mix with focus on specific areas of safety.
In the subsequent issues, we focussed on various aspects of safety, including construction safety, food safety, health safety, aviation safety, environment safety, industrial safety, chemical safety, road safety, lifestyle safety, and so on. This helped us increase the magazine’s reach not only in India but also in some foreign countries, especially the Middle East. One thing became very clear to us: the magazine fulfilled a long-felt need of the safety industry, and the magazine is going to stay here.
The response to the magazine from the Middle East, known for its well defined and highest safety standards in every field, was so encouraging that we have already decided to launch a separate Gulf edition of the magazine from next month. The industry players, policymakers and the Indian diaspora in the Middle East can now look forward to the content-rich Gulf edition to hit the stands with the most comprehensive contents mix relating to the HSE sector of the region, covering news and events, features, analyses, personalities, and company profiles.
Let me take this opportunity to thank all our supporters, well-wishers, advertisers, subscribers and readers for their generous patronage during the last one year. We know that we have still miles to go and we would like to assure all of you that we would take all efforts to add value to the magazine issue after issue.
The current issue has its focus on rail safety. The articles and features highlight the present status and future challenges of rail safety. We look forward to your valuable feedback.
Once again, thanking you all,
