Homeopathy is based on the philosophy that the body, mind and emotions are not really separate and distinct, but are actually fully integrated. Based on this perspective, a homeopath seeks a remedy that fits all of a patient’s physical and psychological symptoms. Dr. A. Janardhanan BHMS (National Institute of Homoeopathy, Calcutta) and now a Private Practitioner, here explains on Homeopathy as a system for natural cure.
Homoeopathy is a gentle system of medicine based on the natural law of cure. It was founded by Dr. Samuel Christian Frederick Hahnemann of Leipzig, Germany in the 18th century AD. An allopathic physician of the time, Dr. Hahnemann through his keen observation discovered this law of cure and painstakingly developed the Homoeopathy into that what we see today. He not only designed pioneering and unique ways to use medicines but also went further to elaborate on the true nature of chronic as well as acute diseases after many years of thorough research.
The disease producing power of a medicine is said to be its disease curing power, hence Homoeopathy utilizes this property in the treatment of various diseases afflicting mankind. Present day Homoeopathy being a complete system of medicine is capable of both palliation in incurable cases like advanced stages of cancer and also curing cases of a chronic nature like Diabetes mellitus, hypertension , asthma etc.
Cure of such cases become difficult though not always impossible when they present to Homoeopathy after much allopathic drugging, improper long use of Homoeopathic medicines, and resistance to appropriate mode of living. They also become difficult to cure when hereditary tendencies are strong and when the disease has been allowed to extend for a long period of time with or without treatment. Even then there are cases that have shown remarkable improvement and cure in some when they pursued the treatment with dedication and perseverance provided by competent Homoeopaths.
